For the 2014 summer season, Schlitterbahn New Braunfels hopes to hire approximately 1,000 lifeguards to keep an eye on the hundreds of thousands of guests expected to visit this summer. Lifeguard candidates are trained using the best curriculum in the industry, learn life long skills, and become part of a long legacy of of life savers. In fact, lifeguards are such key staff in the company that several senior management people at Schlitterbahn started out as lifeguards, including the COO.
