Every year the team at Schlitterbahn dreams up new ideas for food and drinks in the park and this year the new menu items are a culinary delight. Some of the options include stuffed turkey legs, South Texas style elote, and Thai me a river chicken tenders.
(Yes, we know Schlitterbahn is famously the park that lets you bring in your own food and drink, but it’s also the park with amazing food!)

Schlitterbahn New Braunfels:
While Schlitterbahn New Braunfels already boasts in house smoked barbecue along with other park favorites such as the turkey leg and Bahn burger, the new additions will satisfy the sweet and savory cravings.
Stuffed Turkey Leg – Magic happens when you split open a smoked turkey leg, stuff it with pulled pork, add onions and cheese, and drizzle BBQ sauce over the top. Featured in People Magazine.
40th Anniversary Funnel Cake – the newest addition to the funnel cake family: a double layer of freshly made funnel cakes with Blue Bell Birthday Cake ice cream, whipped cream, chocolate sauce, and topped with a sprinkles!
Ring of Fire Burger – Freshly grilled 1/3 pound all beef patty topped with lettuce tomato, onion, pickle, cheese, ranch dressing, jalapenos and a Flamin’ Hot Cheetos onion ring. Served with seasoned waffle fries.
Torrent Twist – Pina Colada and Strawberry Margarita twisted together.
Chicken and Waffles Funnel Cake – the newest addition to the funnel cake family: a fresh funnel cake doing duty as a waffle topped with three chicken tenders, butter and syrup.
Schlitterbahn Galveston is known for its thrill rides, and the new menu items are sure to bring shrieks of joy for the variety of options this summer!
Southwest Burger – It’s all about the avocado! Freshly Grilled 1/3 pound all beef patty topped with avocado, bacon and fried onions and served with seasoned waffle fries.
Mac Attack Burger – Our mac & cheese is epic – and even better on top of a burger. Freshly Grilled 1/3 pound all beef patty topped with two slices of bacon and smothered in mac & cheese and served with seasoned waffle fries.
Bahn Burner Burger – Heat meets meat in this Texas fav. Freshly Grilled 1/3 pound all beef patty topped with jalapeno poppers and red-hot spicy onion rings and served with seasoned waffle fries.
Deluxe Chicken Tenders:
- All American – Nothing is more American than peanut butter and these tenders take it to a new level! Four tenders bathed in our specialty peanut butter, dressed with bacon and served with seasoned waffle fries.
- Thai Me a River – Fusion of Asian and Americana – four tenders tossed in our Sweet Chili Sauce and served with seasoned waffle fries.
- Sweet Heat – Summer gets hotter with these four tenders drizzled with our signature Sweet Sriracha BBQ sauce and served with seasoned waffle fries.
- Buffalo Blue – A classic wing in a four tenders format – tenders immersed in our Beautiful Buffalo Blue Cheese Sauce and served with seasoned waffle fries.
Thai Rolled Ice Cream – If you haven’t had Thai rolled ice cream, you are missing out! Choice of 8 different toppings (Sprinkles, Peanuts, Oreos, M&Ms, Reese’s Pieces, chocolate chips, Cap’n Crunch, Nerds).
Ice Cream Taco – Taco sensibility with ice cream attitude: Scooped ice cream in a waffle cone taco shell with chocolate syrup, Oreo crumbles and whipped cream.
Schlitterbahn South Padre Island:
The food and drinks at Schlitterbahn South Padre Island are heavily influenced by seafood from our full-service restaurant, the Shrimp Haus, and the rich Hispanic culture that resides off the Gulf of Mexico – from the elotes to the blue wave, guests will leave with sun-kissed skin and happy taste buds.
Elote – A South Texas Staple. An ear of corn coated with a blend of mayo, queso coronel, and chili Limon (park)
Fried Ice Cream – Coated with a blend of crushed corn flakes and graham crackers, deep fried and served in a tortilla bowl with whipped cream, chocolate and strawberry sauce – Big enough for two. (Shrimp Haus)
Chicken Fried Shrimp – Jumbo Gulf shrimp fried in true Texas style. Served atop red roasted mashed potatoes and topped with a roasted jalapeño infused cream sauce and accompanied with sautéed mixed vegetables. Salad Bar included. (Shrimp Haus)
Blue Wave – This fan favorite is a 32oz cocktail with rum, vodka, coconut rum, blue cacao, pineapple and orange juice; finished with 151 rum. (park or Shrimp Haus)
Mangonada – This new, best-selling concoction is a frozen cocktail of tequila and mango smoothie mix; finished with chili Limon salt. (park or Shrimp Haus)
