Schlitterbahn Waterpark and Resort in New Braunfels, Texas, kicked off its reading program with the help of 100 first graders at Camelot elementary school. Schatze, the waterpark dog, was on hand to encourage the kids to read and earn a free ticket to Schlitterbahn.
“We want every child at Camelot to earn a ticket this year,” said Winter Prosapio, head reader at Schlitterbahn. “Because we have a great summer planned at Schlitterbahn and we could use some fun kids at the park!”
The Schlitterbahn team joined in the fun reading from a book written just for the kids at Camelot Elementary. Schlitterbahn’s General Manager donated a very special reading spot for the library at Camelot – a brand new double tube from Schlitterbahn.
It was immediately put to good use.
