September 8, 2018  – New Braunfels, TX – Texas-headquartered Schlitterbahn Waterparks and Resorts was honored for record 21st straight year as the Best Waterpark in the World for its flagship location in New Braunfels. Schlitterbahn also had three of its most iconic rides in the top ten best waterpark rides in the world.

Amusement Today’s Golden Ticket Awards are considered the “Academy Awards” of the theme and waterpark industry and are voted on by industry experts and fans from around the world who visit a wide variety of theme parks and waterparks each year. No other amusement park brand has won their category for 21 years.

 

Schlitterbahn New Braunfels is on the eve of its 40th year of operations and will be announcing a series of celebrations for 2019. Opened in 1979, the New Braunfels park features four distinct sections with both spring fed river and chlorinated water rides, as well as five past Golden Ticket award-winning waterpark rides.
