World’s Largest Swimming Lesson™ Set For Thursday, June 22, 2017
Tens of thousands of kids around the globe set to flutter kick their way to a new Guinness World Record™
KANSAS CITY, Kan. – Schlitterbahn Waterparks is participating in the World’s Largest Swimming Lesson Thursday, June 22nd, to promote the importance of water safety. The swim lessons take place at hundreds of locations around the world, including at all five Schlitterbahn Waterparks in a coordinated attempt to break the Guinness World Record. The lesson at Schlitterbahn Waterpark Kansas City kicks off at 10:00 a.m. Central Time.
Team WLSL holds the current Guinness World Record™ for the largest simultaneous swimming lesson, which stands at 38,170 participants representing 22 different countries! Since the event’s inception more than 155,000 people have participated in the WLSL lessons generating more than a half billion media impressions.
The swim lesson for the world record attempt is FREE. Participants must register before 9pm on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 to participate. Event participants can purchase discount admissions to Schlitterbahn on June 22 in advance or immediately following their lesson.
